8 Disney Princesses Re-Imagined to Relate to the Average Woman
Would it surprise you to know that today's average woman wears between a size 14 and size 16? Maybe it does surprise you but if you're the average woman you're probably nodding in a matter of fact manner. Girls today are growing up with models in magazines and in TV who don't reflect the women in their lives they look up to and it seems like every Disney Princess is just as petite.
Well, Ashley Beevers is an artist out of Melbourne with a fierce determination to change that precedent and she's done a marvelous job so far by recreating her 8 favorite princesses in a much more voluptuous fashion. Adding to the fire she's also redrawn them pinup style.
Maybe soon art like this will inspire Disney to make a princess of their own with curves today's women can relate to.
