Artist Gives Free Tattoos To Cancer Patients Dealing With Hairloss
Sarah Walters, an artist based in Seattle, sadly lost her step-father due to cancer. Because of this, she felt the need to give back to those that are fighting the battle. Cancer is a monster of a disease that takes a huge amount of courage and strength to fight. Walters has been offering free Henna crowns for those going through chemo. Henna tattooing is an ancient practice, used for thousands of years, in areas such as the Middle East and South-East Asia. Sarah offers the Henna crown tattoos in hopes to make these cancer patients feel beautiful again after losing their hair, which can be so defining to a person. She brings light and beauty to these people in a time that is filled with so much hopelessness and fear.

“After that, I knew I wanted to make them accessible to anyone and everyone who had lost their hair during chemo”
Sarah Walters feels that this is a good way to honor her step-father. Her Stepfather lost his battle but hopes that her Henna crowns her to keep fighting. “When my mom asked me to do a crown for her friend who was fighting cancer, I was excited about the opportunity” Walters did her first Henna crown in 2011.via:Bored panda
