Following her untimely passing, Burger's family announced her death on Wednesday using her Instagram account to forewarn over 200,000 followers that "tens of thousands" of the "defective devices" are still in circulation.
It was just last Saturday that the fitness model was rushed to a hospital before passing away on Sunday. However, so far French prosecutors have only stated they are still "determining the circumstances of her death."
While the French police have hesitated to blame the whipped cream dispenser on her untimely death her family has not been so quiet.
The caption reads:
Here is an example of a cream dispenser which exploded and struck Rebecca's thorax, resulting in her death.
They went on to say:
Do not use this kind of utensil in your home. Tens of thousands of defective devices are still in circulation.
Burger was a well known competitive fitness model.
Her resume includes:
-Placing in the top 10 at 2015's Arnold Classic Amateur in the United States, and
-Winning the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness' French National Championship Bikini event in 2014.
Our hearts go out to her family in her time of need and we can only hope that her memory continues to inspire people everywhere to embrace a fit lifestyle!
It must be terribly difficult for her family to come to terms with this death. No news of a tragedy is easy to receive, but it must be especially hard when someone as healthy and fit (like this fitness blogger) passes away in such a horrifying way.
