Perhaps the most depressing name on the list is 23-year old Joe Arridy who was mentally disabled with an IQ in the 40's and falsely accused and convicted of the rape and murder of a 15-year-old schoolgirl. He was executed via the gas chamber in 1939 and then was posthumously pardoned 72 years after his death in 2011. His last meal was requested as ice cream.
