Linkin Park Frontman Chester Bennington Found Dead
Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington has been found dead in his home on Thursday, July 20th. It is believed that his body was discovered by an employee just before 9 in the morning. Police in the area told sources that the lead singer had committed suicide by hanging. For years, Chester had struggled with drugs and alcohol. He publicly said that this was in part because he had been sexually abused as a child by an older male known to his family.
Only two months ago, Chester's close friend Chris Cornell had also committed suicide. Today would have been Chris Cornell's 53rd birthday. When Chris died in May, Chester expressed his grief by writing an open letter on the same day.
Chester leaves behind six children. His wife Vicky Cornell tweeted a message following the news of her husband's death.
