The 10 Worst Anime of All Time
Anime pulls in a huge crowd and millions of people have their favorites. Picking out your favorite anime is either super easy or really hard because truthfully there's quite a few mind blowingly amazing anime out there.
On the other hand, there's also some seriously awful ones. We're not even sure why some of these anime exist because they really shouldn't.
Hanoka, which aired in the summer of 2006 was the first anime ever to be made completely in Adobe Flash. I mean, it's cool that someone wanted to break down some barriers and do something different but this was clearly not the way to go. If the animation isn't enough to turn you off, the same old, dried up plot of vile creatures attacking humanity that can only be stopped by "super weapons." Sorry but by 2006 we needed some new ideas. Next, please!via:MAL
2. Vampire Holmes
I'm not sure how anyone thought turning a mobile game into an anime was a good idea but in April of 2015 this jewel of disaster aired and we've regretted it ever since. The creators didn't have much to work with, you know since it's based off a game people play on their phones, but trust me when I say they didn't embellish the script what so ever. These supernatural detectives were supernaturally boring and instead of solving cases they sat on a couch and avoided paying rent. Wow.
3. Hametsu No Mars (Mars of Destruction)
Released on July 08, 2005 by Idea Factory this travesty of an anime is all around horrible. The sound is horribly recorded and the opposite of creative and even worse is the writing. It's characters are all suffering from something called "same face syndrome," (not even a remotely creative name,) and have literally no personalities. Scrape this pile of crap off the planet's surface because quite frankly, it has no redeemable qualities.
5. Wonder Momo
Originally a 1987 arcade game, Wonder Momo is a question mark in the history of anime. Who was this made for, the 12 people in existence who might remember the arcade game? Why was this made? Most of all, what idiot thought ending it with a cliffhanger was a solid idea?via:MAL
6. Dark Cat
This 1991 anime basically combines all things hentai without the actual hentai. I'm not sure if that's good or bad but with voice actors who had been doing hentai and the awkward and borederline sexual shots to the tentacle demons the heroes battle. Borderline comedy that's not funny, borderline horror that's not scary, and borderline porn with no gratification... that sounds like a recipe for crap to me.via:MAL
7. Soujuu Senshi Psychic Wars
Released in 1991 this anime is a story without a story. It's pretty much impossible to understand why anything in the story happens and no characters really seem to serve a real purpose. I hope someone lost their job over this travesty.via:MAL
This anime was originally a cult-horror manga and built up quite a fair share of excitement when it's release was delayed and honestly everyone was completely let down. The plot itself is not bad but the story line and lack of progressive character development combined with the shitty artwork was just a huge let down. They had so much potential to make this great and they failed miserably.via:MAL
9. Generation of Chaos
The gist of this nonsense boils down to it's purpose as a prologue to a video game (also called Generation of Chaos) but it completely fails to deliver. On top of animation that is as awful as it is lazy, the plot is ridiculous and pointless. Is it supposed to be a pokemon rip off meets coming-of-age epic tale? Who cares, it's terrible. Thanks a lot Idea Factory for making this list three times as terrible as it needed to be.via:MAL
10. Byston Well Monogatari: Garzey no Tsubasa (Tales of Byston Well: Garzey's Wing)
This mouthful from the 90's is completely void of making any sense. Little to no context at the beginning, no character development, and a bizarre ending all add up to create a pile of dirt.via:MAL
