Okay, but did she get her man?

Doing a favor for a family member is something we are generally happy to do. They are our family, after all.

But when does doing a favor become more like being taken advantage of? Reddit user u/LittleSpell5269 recently shared a story in the AITA (Am I The A**hole?) subreddit about how she agreed to watch her sister's dog for a week while she went on a holiday.

But, while the OP's sister was away, she met a guy and decided to extend her vacation to eight weeks - a whole seven weeks more than the OP had agreed to. Understandably, the OP told her sister she needed to pay her for the extra seven weeks that she took care of her dog.

Her sister told the OP she was being silly and was furious with her, but she handed over the money the Redditor asked for. She said if she had known the OP was going to charge her, she would have put the dog in a kennel.

The Redditor pointed out that kennels charge more than twice the price the OP asked for, but her sister is still angry, and her mother also sided with her. Keep scrolling to see how people reacted.

But the OP said her sister was getting off lightly compared to what a kennel would have charged her for the same amount of time.

The OP's parents have conflicting opinions, so she turned to Reddit for advice.
