Fans Showered Christina Applegate With Love As She Received The 2,740th Star On Hollywood's Walk Of Fame
November 14 is officially Christina Applegate Day in Hollywood!
There are billions of stars in our galaxy, but 2,740 are on Hollywood Boulevard. The most recent addition to the Hollywood Walk of Fame is none other than Christina Applegate.
The first star on the famous landmark was unveiled in 1960, and 62 years later, Christina has her own. The 51-year-old actress is known for her role in one of the most beloved families on American television.
She was the ditzy and charming Kelly Bundy in Married...With Children. "Anyone who can play that dumb, that well must be a brilliant actor," said her friend and TV brother, David Faustino, who was present at the unveiling ceremony.
He didn't lie because Christina is a brilliant actress, even when she's not playing a ditzy character. Her Primetime Emmy win, Golden Globe, and Tony nominations are enough accolades to prove that!
Now, she has her very own star on Hollywood Boulevard. The Dead To Me actress was supposed to receive the star in 2020, but it was indefinitely postponed for several reasons, one of which was the global pandemic.
It may have been delayed, but it was certainly worth the wait! Friends, family, and fans cheered as the shiny new star on the Boulevard was revealed for everyone to see.
It was the actress' first public appearance since her MS diagnosis, and what a smashing way to make her second debut in Hollywood!

Her TV brother, turned lifelong friend, David Faustino, recalled his fond memories with the actress.
He remembered seeing her during the casting for Married...With Children and how he thought she was the perfect person to play Kelly Bundy. Their joint trip to Israel and Egypt with both of their moms brought a smile to his face.

Katey, who played Peggy in Married...With Children, said she considers Christina one of life's teachers.
Apparently, this has been the case even when the actress was just 16 years old. The love between the actresses was palpable as Katey revealed that Christina still calls her Mommy.

Dead To Me's show creator, Liz Feldman, brought levity to the event as she said Christina is one of her generation's greatest actors, who also happens to have the humor of a 13-year-old boy and whose favorite word is 'butthole'!

Linda Cardellini, her co-star in Dead To Me, said she didn't think she would make a friend for life when she agreed to do the show.

The actress was also presented with a Plaque of Recognition from the City of Los Angeles to celebrate all of her accomplishments.
