Graphic Designer Renders Disney Characters And 'Interacts' With Them In Real Life
"Come with me and you'll be in a world full of imagination."
The universal love for Disney characters is an affection shared by many. As young kids, it's normal to imagine playing with and being friends with your favorite animated characters.
That kind of wonder and limitless imagination did not end in his childhood for this remarkable digital artist. Meet Luigi Kemo Volo, the artist behind the mesmerizing photographs.
Volo is an Italian illustrator and graphic designer from Naples, Italy. He's behind the still renderings of Disney characters 'walking around' in real life.
He takes images of himself and seamlessly integrates Disney characters into them through skilled Photoshop magic. It's the crossover we never knew we wanted but needed!
Volo is an avid Disney fan, as well as a photographer, illustrator, and graphic artist by profession. These are all the ingredients and skills one would need to create these highly skilled, technical images.
Volo shared that we have his nephew to thank for the images. It's the artist's love for his nephew that inspired his creations.
He also spoke about his passion for the work, “I've always been a huge fan of Disney animation. Ever since I was a kid watching videotapes of Disney classics, I would stop midway, take a pencil and paper, and copy characters. I spent a lot of time doing it!”
Since then, whenever he gets an idea for a photo, he spends a few hours after his job to 'play' with the Disney characters. Out of these bursts of inspiration, Volo has created over 500 renderings that he shares on his social media accounts!

The artist didn't expect that people would respond so positively to his work. He says he enjoys it when people message him that their kids are fond of his work.
Although it's sometimes difficult to think outside the box, Volo insists that he loves the work that he shares with the world. He loves creating these imaginative images, especially planning them, improving them, and drawing the correct expressions on the characters' faces!
Volo only started sharing his work in 2016 and has since amassed at least 100,000 followers on his Instagram account. His loving fan base continues to grow and support him.
Despite this growing following, Volo goes back to the origins of his creations: his nephew. The art he creates is meant to show his nephew that Volo has a friendship with the kid's favorite characters!
His nephew's amazement, paired with his friends' encouragement, spurred the artist to share his work on Instagram. Thanks to them, we can share in the joy and nostalgia of Volo's work.
