Creative Artist Hilariously Imagines The "Behind-The-Scenes" Of Our Favorite Disney Movies

This artist came up with a brand new idea for their fan art

Have you ever found yourself watching a movie with incredible special effects, especially those super cool practical effects, and wondered how they pulled them off? Well, you’re definitely not alone; many people are genuinely interested in the magic behind their favorite films.

However, artist Andhika Muksin decided to take that sense of wonder, amazement, and curiosity and turn it into a somewhat silly thought: “What would the behind-the-scenes look like if the classic animated Disney films were real life?”

Like many of us, Muksin grew up watching Disney movies and is a long-time fan of some of the quintessential Disney classics like Aladdin and The Little Mermaid. Taking inspiration from these Disney works, he created an amusing series of behind-the-scenes illustrations to playfully share how these films would have been made if they were live-action.

“I have been an avid Disney fan since I was a kid,” Muksin shared. “In addition to that, I have always been into art and illustrations, and I even had a stint as an artist in my late 20s before I settled into an office job. I think it was around this time when I started to combine my interests into one: art and Disney. It became my personal way to bring that childhood magic into my adulthood, imagining all these characters dealing with real-life situations in a fun, comedic way.”

Muksin shines his humor on some of the most iconic scenes from our favorite animated Disney films and adds a twist that is not only hilarious but also somehow relatable. For instance, he lets us see Genie from Aladdin as just a regular dude painted blue from the waist up, filming his part in front of a green screen and some cutouts, while wearing shorts and comfy crocs.

In the case of Ariel, she’s obviously a real human girl who hides her legs from the camera while also insinuating that The Little Mermaid is one of those homemade indie movies. There’s nothing a good ring light and some green sheets can't do for home filmmakers, imaginary or not.
