The term "chibi" can refer to a "small person or someone with dwarfism," a "small animal," or, when used to express fondness or displeasure, a "small child." The term "chibi" is also used to identify a specific kind of anime character due to its associations with smallness and cuteness.
More commonly known as the super-deformed or SD style, it is characterized by a high exaggeration of childlike proportions, with heads typically being up to four times larger than bodies.
