That’s exactly what happened in one blended household where a carton of lactose-free milk became the center of a surprising argument.
Now, OP and his wife have kids from past relationships: his 18-year-old boy (Connor) and her 16-year-old daughter (Sasha).
Both teens get along fine, but the tension started when OP’s son began bringing his girlfriend, Hannah, over more often.
Here’s the twist… both Hannah and Sasha are lactose intolerant. Sasha, however, is picky about her milk and only drinks a specific brand that’s both expensive and easy on her stomach.
The problem is, every time Hannah comes over, Sasha notices her milk vanishing faster than expected.
Sasha has complained severally about this and has asked both OP and his wife to either buy a gallon each for both of them or tell Hannah to get her own milk.
Regardless of the numerous complaints, OP brushed it off, calling her reaction “over the top.” His wife, on the other hand, tried to fix things by buying Sasha a small fridge to store milk in her room.
Despite this, Hannah still kept requesting to use Sasha’s milk each time she was at their home.
The situation boiled over when Sasha’s dad stepped in to take charge of the situation. He basically showed up at their home with a gallon of milk and told OP not to let anyone else use it, except his daughter.
Now the family’s split down the middle with OP accusing Sasha of being a “brat.”
