Are real-life scams as common as these people think?
There's no denying that it is a tough world out there. There's also no shame in asking for help. However, when people don't ask for help, there is a simple beauty in offering it anyway; which is exactly what these kind individuals have done. Unfortunately, rather than being praised for their actions, they have been shamed for them.

When giving money to strangers in need, these individuals have been reprimanded under the belief that they were being scammed. The responses are admirable; there is nothing shameful about helping another person in need. And if it is a scam? That's their karmic problem.
