These 20 Photos Shared By Ukrainians Perfectly Depict What Their Lives Are Like Now

There is a saying that war brings out the best and the worst in people. Well, humankind has been around for quite some time, and we have yet to see that "best" part.

The acts of heroism that people display every day are overshadowed by the sheer destruction that war brings. History has shown that there is nothing more disgusting and atrocious than war.

Unfortunately, instead of learning how bad it is from history books, we have live versions every few decades. The war in Ukraine has wreaked havoc on the lives of millions of people in the region.

While many people have managed to flee to neighboring countries as refugees, and many more are still on their way to safety, some have chosen to stay behind or were unable to escape. And then the violence came.

People who are trapped in regions under fire have been sharing moments from their new lives, whether at home or in bomb shelters, demonstrating how drastically everything changed the instant bombs and troops arrived. Some of these instances are captured in the photographs below.

We have chosen 20 of the most poignant images, and they are heartbreaking. We wish for this madness to end quickly.

Seeing what’s happening to innocent people is heartbreaking, and we must all do whatever we can to help. It would be wonderful if some of you could invent a machine that would render every weapon in the world useless.

So, while we are waiting for a machine like that to be invented, donating to reputable charities and praying for the people in the war zone is a good start.
