Guy Hilariously Ranks Marvel Movies According to How Many Trains Appeared in Them

Take a look at the train scale.

With the Marvel Cinematic Universe featuring more than 27 movies, you might wonder which one takes the prize as the best of them all. Many of these films became the biggest successes of their time, and each one has its own quirks and features that people appreciate.

Even though some critics may disagree, Marvel has truly produced some of the best movies of the 21st century. The entire franchise has made a significant cultural impact, starting with the release of Iron Man in 2008.

Many people rank these movies based on production quality, storyline, soundtrack, and overall impact—just as is typically done. However, one individual decided to take a different approach and rank the films using a completely unique category: trains.

Yes, you heard that right—trains! A user on Tumblr with the handle tilt-shift-blur chose to rank the Marvel movies based on a specific criterion: the number of times a train appears in each film.

Depending on the frequency of train appearances, the user assigned each movie a score on a scale from zero to ten, accompanied by explanations. Scroll down to see the hilarious post below!

For a movie literally named Iron Man, there were no trains sighted, so the user had to give it a 0/10 for the first film, and -100/10 (mainly because of Elon Musk's cameo). The Incredible Hulk referenced a subway—which kind of counts—so they gave it a 1 out of 10.

Thor received a 0/10 because there are no trains in space. Oops!

Captain America: The First Avenger earned a 7 out of 10 for its "cool train heist scene." The Avengers, on the other hand, received a 3 out of 10 for Captain America telling the police to help people get into the subway.

The third Iron Man movie scored 0 points again—no trains. But ooh, Thor: The Dark World received a dazzling 10 out of 10 because he actually rode a train!

Captain America: The Winter Soldier and both Guardians of the Galaxy movies received a score of zero. Age of Ultron got a 6, while Ant-Man achieved a whopping 9 out of 10!

Civil War received a 1 out of 10, though, because no trains were found.

Doctor Strange scored a 6 out of 10, while Spider-Man: Homecoming hit the jackpot with a 10/10. Thor: Ragnarok, charming as it was, received a 0/10 because there really are no trains in space.

Black Panther earned a 7/10. This should have gone higher, though!

Infinity War also received a 6 out of 10, but that movie definitely deserved better. The sequel to Ant-Man scored zero.

Next up, space finally got some trains this time, so Captain Marvel received an 11 out of 10! Endgame, on the other hand, scored zero, despite its iconic status.
