Dutch artist and illustrator Willemijn is all about Disney's magic. She has been creating a series of Disney characters reimagined in various ways for nearly a decade, and she is undoubtedly skilled at it. Dr. Michele Gelfand, a cultural psychologist, notes, "Art has the power to evoke emotions and memories, especially when it taps into cultural icons like Disney." In this series, she re-created 15 Disney Princesses as silhouettes, featuring only some of their most iconic and recognizable traits, which provide undeniable clues as to who is who. A faceless, all-black character with just the right hair and accessories is transformed from an unusual concept into truly captivating art, thanks to Willemijn.
