It's Extremely Easy To Gush Over Each Of This Artist's Pieces Of Disney Fan Art Because They're Spectacular
Christy Tortland is an artist of many trades, including an accomplished writer and illustrator. Her Disney fan art is phenomenal and merely a glimpse into what this creative mind is capable of.
If it's possible for Disney fanatics all over the world who have artistic abilities to ever stop creating incredible Disney fan art, I certainly hope it's not within my lifetime or any time soon. Disney fan art is one of the coolest and most exciting things to happen to Disney fans, as it helps both the artists and the fans relive the details and memories we cherish about our favorite Disney movies and characters.
There are many reasons to love Disney fan art, and even if it takes you out of your comfort zone (because realistically, sometimes fan art definitely yanks you by the nape of your neck out of your comfort zone and deep into the "Is this ruining my childhood?" zone), most of the time it's absolutely wholesome and heartwarming. Such is the case with the art that Disney fan Christy Tortland has been creating for over a decade.
As a freelance illustrator and writer from New England, Christy says she is strongly influenced by "mythology, classic sci-fi and fantasy, and strong, amazing ladies." She also states:
"I create illustrations and comic art with the intent of developing dynamic, inspiring characters, each with a story behind them."

Christy is an artist of many trades. She holds a BFA in Illustration from the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University, as well as an MFA in Creative Writing for Children from Simmons College.
She says:
"Along with being an illustrator, I am also a writer, both ghostwriting for clients and working on multiple novels, as well as one graphic novel script. Because one novel just isn't enough, clearly."Christy may joke, but her work is truly wonderful, and we think it's fantastic that she's continuously pouring her heart into more art, whether it be written or illustrated. Her Disney and Marvel fan art is distinct and unique, which is always something to appreciate when it comes to Disney fan art.

Christy is clearly a fan of Disney's Tangled, and it's also evident that she has a special place in her heart for the romances woven into Disney stories. The embraces she recreates in her own style can be seen featuring characters from many Disney classics, including Tarzan, The Little Mermaid, and Pocahontas.
It's also clear from browsing her various forms of social media that she's not just a fan of Disney and Marvel, but also of DC and, most definitely, Harry Potter. Thankfully, she brings that dedicated energy to her artwork every time.
