Please Don't Ever Peel These 12 Foods
This is what my food-related nightmares are made of.
Many foods are best enjoyed when peeled. Some foods are simply more enjoyable once their skins are removed. Others can be fun to peel if you have the time and prefer not to eat the peel. However, once you move beyond bananas, potatoes, and the occasional cucumber or carrot, there are many other foods to consider. The question then becomes: to peel or not to peel? It turns out that some people have very little to do with their time other than peel random foods to help answer such a philosophical question.
That's all fun and games, except it has become apparent that once peeled, some foods go from fabulous to freaky! So, without further ado, please do not peel these 12 foods... one look is enough to last a lifetime!
1. Pomegranate
Surely you have something better to do with your time than warp our brains with this tomfoolery?
Imgur2. Blueberries
A peeled blueberry? This is why we can't have nice things.
Reddit3. Avocado... unripe.
This is just infuriating. A perfectly good avocado wasted because someone couldn't wait two more days and approximately two additional minutes.

4. Tomato
This looks disturbingly like human flesh...

5. Coconut
I'm not even mad... I'm just impressed that someone took the time and effort to peel a coconut.

6. Limes
Oranges, sure. Limes? No way, José!

7. Raw Egg
It's a funny way to peel anything, but we're totally freaked out by this shell-free, raw egg!

8. Strawberry
On what planet is this a normal thing to do? Definitely not Earth.

9. Lemon
This was completely unnecessary.

10. Cherry
This is trippy... it looks almost as much like human flesh as the tomato did. Yikes!

11. Lychee
This looks like it belongs in a craft fair, not in someone's mouth.

12. Aloe Vera Leaf
Cutting aloe vera leaves and extracting the jelly-like substance is totally normal. Peeling it and having a jelly-like leaf is not normal.
