Dating sucks. We all know that. Unfortunately, it is the gatekeeper between us now—shoveling fried chicken into our mouths on the couch, ugly crying to 'Love, Actually'—and not being a pathetic loser forever. If there were another way, believe me, we would have figured it out by now. There isn't.

Back in the good old days (like 10 years ago), we actually had to meet people in real life, talk to them, and muster the courage to ask them to go to dinner. Thankfully, those days are long gone. Now, we can swipe through people on Tinder like they're items in a catalog and then meet up with them for a blind date with no real strings attached whatsoever. Get up to use the bathroom and run away; how will they ever know, right?
