Online Group Shares 30 Odd and Unusual Works of Art, and They Are Totally Weird
Beauty is truly in the eyes of the beholder.
Though we don't always seek beauty, it remains in the eyes of the beholder. A towering, freshly grilled burger, true crime documentaries, and horror movies can all be considered "beautiful," but perhaps not to everyone's taste.
It follows that some artists' decisions to steer clear of tradition in order to produce works that ignite our imagination are not surprising. This online group has gathered examples of strange, weird, and unique art from all over the world, including everything from drawings to sculptures and installations.
One of the many online forums where people can exchange and discuss various artistic endeavors is the "Unusual Art" internet community. Despite being somewhat specialized, the topic boasts a healthy user base of over 50,000 individuals who are all curious about the "weird" aspects of art.
Although everyone has a different definition of beauty, we are all drawn to the odd. Some artists resisted traditional forms because many believed that "realistic" painting was no longer necessary due to photography; thus, the artist's role was to create art rather than merely a picture.
Browse through this list of unusual artistic pieces, and you will discover many intriguing works.

When painters began experimenting with more "strange" styles and images in the early 20th century, several social groups reacted negatively. People encountered abstract and occasionally frightening images that were extremely difficult to describe, whereas they had previously only seen realistic depictions of humans, animals, and other subjects.
Give them a follow if that sounds like something you're into, as artists who have had their works rejected by other groups will also post them there.
