Photographer Shares Pictures Of Wild Foxes And Landscapes While Exploring The Wonderful World Of Japan

by Maryjane

A certain Japanese photographer named Hiroki Inoue is persevering in his pursuit of capturing on camera the significant moments that happen between humans and animals. The photographer was born in Sapporo, but he is presently residing in Higashikawa, which is a "photo town" in Hokkaido, Japan.

Inoue utilizes the dazzling natural life around his country as a point of convergence in his incredibly fresh shots. His photo, titled "Wild Abandon" shows two foxes running in the snow, and it grabbed people’s attention when it was chosen as Photograph of the Day on National Geographic.

The photographer was kind enough to reveal to My Modern Met his creative strategy and decision to focus on wildlife and nature. He said he had nothing to do at that time, so he noticed something important-many wild animals live in Hokkaido, Japan!

"I often took wild animal photos when I had time to spare from taking landscape photos. "I was attracted to wild animals little by little," he added. Inoue said he was drawn to capturing foxes because he thinks "a large number of foxes inhabit multifarious hills.

The photograph below is captioned "Early spring is in the air," featuring two red foxes that were racing themselves along a snow slope in Biei, which is another town in Hokkaido, Japan.

However, foxes appear suddenly and disappear just as suddenly." The photographer feels that the "difficulty of attainment increases the beauty of the fox."

When asked about his tips and tricks for capturing such stunning shots, he said he’s always grateful to have met wild animals as their beauty and thinking is beyond imagination. Inoue doesn’t wish to capture evidence photographs but thoughtful images, and "to capture thoughtful images, the most important thing is to appreciate wildlife and to be more patient."

In addition, I think that one should use fine tools. I use a Sony a6000 and a7R2 as these cameras have excellent EVF," he added.
