Magic Kingdom’s Christmas Parade Will Run in Daylight for Two Days in 2026

Disney World will stage Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade at 2 p.m. on Nov. 10 and 11, giving day guests a rare chance to watch.

A holiday favorite that is usually reserved for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is about to become much easier to catch. Magic Kingdom has scheduled two daytime performances of Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade next month, lining up with the annual ABC holiday special taping.

Two daytime performances are set for November 10 and 11

Magic Kingdom has put Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade on the daytime schedule at 2 p.m. on November 10 and November 11, 2026. For regular day guests, that is the key change. The parade normally runs after dark only for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party visitors, but these two performances mean guests can see it without a party ticket.

The dates fall on a Tuesday and a Wednesday, and neither one is a party night. They also sit between this season’s party dates of November 9 and November 12. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party itself begins on November 8.

These early November daytime runs have matched the taping period for the annual ABC Disney Parks holiday special in past years. The taping includes a full daylight performance of the parade, along with appearances by special guests and celebrities for the TV special. A full look at last year’s parade appears in the clip below.

What guests should know before they go

Disney has used the daytime Christmas parade in place of Festival of Fantasy for two early November days before, and the same kind of swap is happening again this year.

Seeing the parade during the taping can take more planning than it once did. During recent tapings, Main Street U.S.A. has been heavily managed by Cast Members. In 2024, Main Street was blocked off entirely, and guests were sent through backstage areas to keep them out of camera shots.

Because the parade still follows its full route, Frontierland is expected to be the strongest viewing choice, with Liberty Square also offering a place to watch. The area near Cinderella Castle could work too, although it is likely to be crowded.

This year’s party season will also mark another return for the current parade version. Disney had already signaled the parade’s comeback when it started casting inline skaters for the 2026 holiday season in March. The parade picked up a new soundtrack and other updates in 2024, blending music from The Nutcracker with the classic Once Upon a Christmastime song. Last year’s changes were smaller, including smoke from Olaf’s cottage chimney and new gold-and-blue looks for the ballroom waltz dancers instead of their earlier Dickens-style costumes.

Guests who want the earliest look at the 2026 version will get it on the party’s opening night, November 8, before the first daytime performance arrives on November 10.
