At Postize, we believe that trust begins with getting the facts right. Whether we're writing something lighthearted, analyzing a viral thread, or reporting on internet culture, accuracy is always part of the process.
Not every story needs the same level of scrutiny, but when facts are central, we take the time to confirm them. This includes:
If we can't confirm a detail, we either leave it out or clearly say it's unverified.
Every article goes through at least one editorial review before being published. During that time, editors check sources, confirm details, and make sure nothing has been distorted or taken out of context. When we reference original posts, we do our best to ensure they're authentic and not altered or misleading.
Writers are also expected to provide links or references for any unusual claims or third-party material. If something looks suspicious, we slow down and double-check.
We prioritize firsthand sources, including original posts, direct quotes, official statements, and research that can be verified. We avoid using screenshots without confirmation that they came from a real, public source. When we do use information from other websites, we check their credibility and link back to them when possible.
Anonymous sources are only used when absolutely necessary, and only if we can independently confirm what they've said.
Mistakes happen. If we find an error, we fix it as quickly and transparently as possible. That includes updating the article with the correct information and adding a note to explain the change.
For serious corrections, we make it clear when and why the article was updated. We don't quietly revise important facts without telling readers.
If you notice something that doesn't look right, let us know. Email us at:
We review all correction requests and take them seriously.
Whether we're covering something light or something serious, our readers deserve content that's fair, clear, and as accurate as possible. We don't aim for perfection, but we do aim to get it right — and when we miss, we'll own it and make it right.
Thanks for holding us to a high standard. We think that makes us better.
