Disneyland’s most elusive holiday treat now has 2026 dates
Disneyland Resort has set 2026 hand-pulled candy cane dates, with wristbands required and no mobile waitlist.
One of Disneyland’s hardest holiday snacks to get is officially back on the calendar. Disneyland Resort has announced 2026 release dates for its hand-pulled candy canes, along with the rules guests will need to follow if they want a shot at buying one.
Disneyland Resort will again offer its hand-pulled candy canes on select dates in Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure during the 2026 holiday season. The seasonal treats are the resort’s well-known red-and-green peppermint candy canes, made by Cast Members and sized at 18 inches.
In Disneyland Park, the candy canes are scheduled for Candy Palace and Candy Kitchen on December 24 and December 25. Disney California Adventure will offer them through Trolley Treats, and two of the announced dates will put candy cane production in both parks at once: December 22 and December 24. For guests planning around availability, that means Christmas Eve is one of the days when both parks are set to participate.

How the purchase process is changing guests’ plans
Disneyland is sticking with the same system it used last year. Guests will need a wristband for the chance to buy a candy cane, and there will be no mobile waitlist. The candy canes also will not be available through mobile order.
Disney says only a very limited number will be sold on each release date, and availability will last only while supplies remain. Purchases must be made in person, and each guest will be limited to one candy cane per day. The resort also says release dates and prices are subject to change without notice.
A few other restrictions are also in place. No discounts apply, and Disney says there will be no exchanges or refunds.

The hand-pulled candy canes themselves remain exclusive to Disneyland Resort. Walt Disney World guests, however, can still pick up a Signature Collectibles Mini Figurine showing Mickey making the holiday candy canes in the Candy Palace window.
