Disneyland’s next Magic Key freebie is a 25th anniversary Haunted Mansion Holiday card set
Disneyland Magic Key holders can pick up four free Haunted Mansion Holiday lenticular cards from Oct. 26 through Nov. 21.
Disneyland Resort is adding a new Magic Key perk, and this one is aimed squarely at Haunted Mansion Holiday fans. Passholders will be able to collect a free four-card lenticular set tied to the overlay’s 25th anniversary, with pickups starting October 26.
The new giveaway is limited to Magic Key holders and runs from October 26 through November 21. In the clip below, Disneyland Magic Key announced that a new card will be released each Monday, and the first pickup also includes a display frame for the full set.
The cards celebrate Haunted Mansion Holiday, Disneyland’s seasonal Haunted Mansion version inspired by Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. The overlay has returned to the park each Halloween and Christmas season since 2001, except for 2020, when the Southern California resort was closed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It came back in 2021, and this year’s edition opened August 21.
Each of the four cards uses artwork based on the transforming portraits in the attraction’s Stretching Room. The featured images are Jack Skellington, the exterior of the Haunted Mansion, Zero pulling Santa Jack’s sleigh, and Sally.
Here is the release schedule Disneyland shared for the set: Card 1 on October 26, Card 2 on November 2, Card 3 on November 9, and Card 4 on November 16. Pickups are available during regular operating hours at Disneyana in Disneyland Park, Kingswell Shop in Disney California Adventure Park, and WonderGround Gallery in the Downtown Disney District.
Guests need a valid Magic Key pass to receive the items. Disneyland is limiting the offer to one display frame and one of each card design per passholder. The cards are also available while supplies last.
The timing stands out because the announcement followed comments from former Disney CEO Bob Chapek, who said earlier this week that he once considered ending the Magic Key program. In his account, Annual Passholders were visiting the Southern California parks too often and not spending enough. Now, the latest Magic Key extra is a collectible built specifically for those frequent Disneyland visitors.
