The concept of a 'pink tax' is becoming increasingly prominent in our world. The so-called 'pink tax' essentially means that women often pay more for the exact same or comparable items that men do—the 'girl version' is almost always pink and more expensive.

It turns out this phenomenon exists in video games as well. Many of us have traveled to islands far, far away via our Nintendo Switch over the past year to escape reality and spend time with some random animals.

However, the real world was not so far away, as the pink tax exists in-game too. This mother shared her child's reaction to it on Facebook, and I cannot wait to hear what Nintendo has to say about it!
