Every pet has a story. Whether the animal is a dog, a cat, a bird, a bunny, or a reptile... before you gave that creature love, a family, and a home, they had a "before."

Some people find stray animals and take them in while others might go to a shelter or rescue and adopt a pet. Some people purchase pets from "breeders," while others may even breed pets themselves, and some people foster pets in need of temporary homes, too!

There are many ways a pet can come into your life and surely if you love your beloved pets as much as we assume you do, you remember the first day you called that non-human friend yours. In addition to that, they've probably changed in some ways (if not many) when you compare day one to months or years later!

Sometimes when we get an opportunity to reflect on those changes, it's easiest to see how significant they are by looking at side-by-side photos. Call them "glow-ups," if you will, but seeing where your pet came from next to where they are now is often quite the sight to behold.

In some cases, these photos are simply precious but in others, they show the kind of wholesome growth that brings grins to faces that linger. Naturally, we have a little bit of both in this mix!

I try not to play favorites, but I think Eleanor up there is going to live purrmanently in my memory where it will bring me years of persuasive smiles. I'm looking forward to that.
