Celebrities Are Sharing Their Awkward Pre-Pubescent 'Ugly Phase' Photos To Social Media

Celebrities have shared their most awkward photos for the internet to enjoy.

Awkward childhood photos can haunt people for years, but Stephen Colbert and Nick Kroll turned that embarrassment into something surprisingly fun. Their new social media campaign asked celebrities to share their pre-pubescent, awkward-looking pictures, and the internet immediately took notice.

The challenge, tied to the hashtags #PuberMe and #PuertoRicoRelief, also had a charitable side. For every celebrity who joined in, Colbert and Kroll pledged to donate $1,000 each to help Puerto Rico, and plenty of stars jumped in with their most cringe-worthy snapshots.

That campaign got celebrities to lean all the way into their awkward years.

This hits the same nerve as celebrity memoir tell-alls that ditch the Hollywood gloss for unvarnished honesty.
