Woman Doesn't Want Her Husband To Teach Their Future Baby Spanish Because "He Is An American And Not Even Spanish"
She wants to deny her baby the opportunity to learn an important language that could help her in the future.
Lately, more and more people of all ages and backgrounds are becoming interested in learning new languages, and the advantages that come with being bilingual are becoming more evident than ever. More than half of the world’s population is already bilingual or multilingual, and it's never too late to join the club and benefit from bilingualism.
Nothing keeps your brain healthy and sharp like learning a new language; it guarantees that you will constantly be exposed to different customs, ideas, and ways of life from completely different cultures. It helps improve a person's problem-solving, multitasking skills, attention control, and creativity, considering how it rewards outside-the-box thinking.
A study published by the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences found that by 20 months, bilingual babies already become aware of the differences between words in different languages. They understand that two words from two different languages are just two versions of the same thing, and they can tell that some words belong to other languages.

Denying your child the opportunity to learn a language that is spoken by more than 450 million people in the world is truly a crime. OP is denying her daughter an advantage that could help her quite a lot throughout life.
It's evident that OP has a personal dislike of the Spanish language, considering how she disregarded the millions of people who speak Spanish in the United States. I hope the husband will teach his daughter Spanish despite OP's disagreement.
Otherwise, it would be a huge loss for all of them, but especially for the daughter.
