Airbnb And BBC Recreates Bluey Heeler's Wonderful Home As A Full-Size Replica Of Family House In The Children's Program
A real-life replica house of Bluey's home is ready for fans to rent. Prepare your best Bluey crew voice impression so we can all say, "Hurray!"
Airbnb and BBC Studios have turned a beloved cartoon setting into a real-life stay, and Bluey fans now have a chance to step inside the Heeler family home. The full-size replica was built in Brisbane, complete with the playful details viewers recognize from the show, from the toys to the backyard barbecue area.
The house mirrors the animated version closely, so the experience feels like walking straight into Bluey’s world. It was designed for a short family stay, and the booking price made it even more of a talking point among fans.
Now the only question is whether the magic lives up to the hype in person.
The place where duck-cake magic happens.
“We’ve been amazed at the outpouring of love the fans have shown for this iconic setting, and for all the beautiful Queensland locations the crew has so lovingly included across the three series. Bringing Bluey’s backdrop to life in such an ingenious and colorful way for our fans has been an absolute delight. The Heeler house is almost a character in its own right,” said Madeleine Jelfs, Bluey senior marketing manager, BBC Studios Australia and New Zealand.

If you were asking yourself how Bluey's parents, who work as an airport security guard and an archaeologist, could afford this expensive house, well... It is a cartoon, but comedian Zach Mander made a good joke about them:
“The median pay for both these jobs in Australia is $67,000 and $22 an hour, respectively.”“There is no way the bank is approving them for a mortgage on a million-plus home. It seems to me that Bluey’s parents could be up to some nefarious activities.”

“Like many parents with young children, I’ve been captivated by the adventures of Bluey and her family, which bring so much joy and quintessential Aussie humor to audiences across the globe,” says Susan Wheeldon, the Airbnb manager for Australia and New Zealand. She added, “There will be nothing quite like waking up in the Heeler house and getting to live and breathe in Bluey’s magical world for one wondrous weekend. At this stage, there is no plan to make the house a permanent stay on Airbnb, but Wheeldon said, ‘never say never.’”

The cost for staying one weekend in the house, from Friday to Sunday, was AU$20 for a family of four. Hopefully, this wonderful house will be open again for booking, because Bluey fans all over the world obviously love the idea.
