Britain Is Getting Roasted Into Oblivion By The Rest Of The World On Tumblr

Why would you call parking lots "car parks"?

The British and Americans are constantly beefing on the internet; the second someone mentions an unusual aspect of the other country's slang or customs, hell breaks loose, and everyone starts roasting each other. It is one of the most entertaining things to witness online; it is a free, original, and humorous form of entertainment.

Most of the world has become accustomed to American English because of Hollywood movies, video games, and many other forms of entertainment that originate from America. In a way, American English has become the norm, which, in turn, makes British slang stand out a little (which is quite unfair, if you ask me).

Additionally, the American population is much larger than that of the UK, so more people speak American English than British English. Furthermore, many foreigners learn English by consuming American entertainment, so they end up learning the American version of English.

The British colonized much of the world and introduced many countries to their culture, which ultimately exposed it to criticism from all corners of the globe. Scroll down and check out the Tumblr posts below; they contain some brutal roasts that came out of nowhere and served their purpose beautifully and elegantly.

1. Be right back, taking my car to the car park.

They both make perfect sense; I don't know why people got so riled up.

It's still funny to see Americans and Brits beefing online; it's always exaggerated and hilarious.
