It's a given that divorces are hard. When they come with custody battles and other legalities, the process becomes even more challenging.
Making the decision to divorce one's spouse can be tormenting, as it may mean breaking the values they've held for a long time.
There is also a feeling of hopelessness when one decides to go their separate ways from the person they thought they would spend the rest of their lives with. Even after it's settled, the resentment, confusion, emotional pain, and self-blame do not disappear instantly.
Divorces can be nasty for everyone—A-list celebrities included. We've seen Britney Spears, Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, and Madonna go through this ordeal.
The case of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard is a recent example of a messy divorce. They may have finalized their divorce half a decade ago, but the drama continues to the point where everyone on social media is talking about it.
Both sides have complained about experiencing physical and verbal abuse. According to Heard, she was afraid that Depp would try to kill her, as she received threats that he would do so.
On the other hand, Depp has denied these accusations and believes that the truth will eventually come out.

People around the world are literally following the drama between Depp and Heard as the sour case enters its final stages. Depp filed a case against Heard for libel and is demanding a $50 million settlement.
Heard countersued and is demanding $100 million for damages.
