Toy Story 30th Anniversary Games Launch: Retro Roundup and Toy Story 3 Complete Edition Out Now
Toy Story turns 30 with Retro Roundup and Toy Story 3 Complete Edition, now available on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, Switch 2 and Steam.
Toy Story’s 30th anniversary is bringing more than a nostalgia trip. Two game releases are now live, giving longtime fans and first-time players a way back into Andy’s room on current hardware.
What changed for Toy Story’s 30th anniversary
Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story is being marked with the launch of Toy Story: Retro Roundup! and Toy Story 3 Complete Edition. The new releases come from Digital Eclipse and Atari and are designed to bring older Toy Story gaming experiences, plus a refreshed version of Toy Story 3, to modern platforms.
The bigger surprise for longtime players is Retro Roundup!, which packages several earlier titles together. The lineup includes Toy Story from 1995, Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue! from 1999, Toy Story 2 from 1999, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command from 2000, and Toy Story Racer from 2001. It also adds A Bug’s Life from 1998 as a bonus game.
For fans who came in later, Toy Story 3 Complete Edition revisits the 2010 game based on the Academy Award-winning film. This version updates the presentation with improved visuals and higher resolutions, and it marks the game’s first release on modern platforms.
Who it affects and where you can play
The launches are aimed at two groups at once: players returning to games they remember, and a new generation discovering them for the first time. The releases also extend Toy Story’s reach beyond film and streaming by reviving stories from a franchise described as the most-watched film franchise on Disney+.
Retro Roundup! is not only a game bundle. It also includes archival extras such as rare development material, archival images, and behind-the-scenes information tied to both the films and the games. There are also five video featurettes focused on the franchise’s creative journey, along with a music player that features soundtracks from every game included in the collection.
Both releases are available now. Players can get them on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and Steam.
