30 Celebrities Who Deserve A Massive Apology For Being Unfairly "Canceled"
Did you cast a stone? Swallow your pride and admit they were "canceled" too soon.
Celebrities, they really are just like us. Are they? Well, not really; aside from the fact that they earn tons of money and look like genetic impossibilities, they live very public lives.
Their every move is watched, recorded, and judged by regular people like us. Because of this never-ending attention, any action they take that is perceived to be wrong can lead to their "cancellation".
Cancel culture is a very polarizing topic. On one hand, some people believe it doesn't actually have any real effect on their careers; we've seen a handful of celebrities lose a significant amount of following and support.
In most cases, those who do lose a project or two are actual awful human beings. However, in some instances, some celebrities get blacklisted and receive backlash for controversial opinions that, in time, turn out to be correct.
Of course, it's easier to follow the tide and say their downfalls were deserved, but with the proper context, you can see why these famous people were unfairly canceled.
Reddit was ablaze with this exact discussion when one user asked which celebrities were canceled that other users felt was uncalled for. The internet joined the bandwagon too soon with these #canceled famous people.

With the internet, everything comes in an instant, even judgment. It's easy for many anonymous people to band together and decide that someone's career is over. According to Dr. Tal Ben-Shahar, happiness researcher, "The speed of judgment often overshadows the complexity of human behavior." People form their judgments even without enough information. Now that new information has come to light, some form of correction is in order. The damage has been done, yes, but it's not too late to read more about the context behind these cancel-worthy behaviors. Will you change your minds as fast as you "canceled" them? As Dr. Kelly McGonigal, health psychologist, notes, "Understanding the full story can lead to compassion and growth."
