8 Times Celebrities Got Involved In Serious Scandals That Nobody Seems To Remember
We could certainly do without the heartbreakingly sad times.
Some celebrity scandals fade fast, like they were never even real. But every so often, a story pops back up and reminds you that the “didn’t you hear?” era was basically a full-time job for Hollywood chaos.
Take Cage, cleared of charges after a violent New Orleans arrest, only to have Dog the Bounty Hunter play hero like the whole thing was a sequel. Or Jennifer Lawrence, casually telling us about holy pebbles and filming in Hawaii, while Paul Walker’s post-death reveal made the whole “Fast” universe feel darker. Then there’s Lindsay Lohan, going live from Moscow with a homeless family in the middle of it, and David Letterman getting dragged on live TV after a CBS staffer tried to extort $2 million.
Here’s the full story behind the ones nobody seems to remember.
1. After a violent fight about where they lived with his then-wife, Cage was arrested in New Orleans in 2011.
According to witnesses, he pulled her violently toward the rental house he claimed was their home and generally disturbed the peace. He was ultimately cleared of charges, but not before Dog the Bounty Hunter saved him, as the film needed to go crazier.
Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office2. Jennifer Lawrence seemed at ease telling a story about filming The Hunger Games in Hawaii and using holy pebbles to rub her bottom during a moment in the mid-2010s when we thought she was absolutely stunning from head to toe.
Lionsgate3. It was revealed after Paul Walker's death that he was living with a 23-year-old woman.
The problem is that the Fast movie star started dating her when she was just 16 years old. He once dated a 16-year-old when he was 28 years old.
Walker actually grew older while his mistresses remained the same age.

4. In 2018, Lohan released a live Instagram video of her harassing a homeless family in Moscow and trying to convince the kids to go with her.
Even the parents were reprimanded by her for not letting the kids leave with the first slurring stranger who offered them movies in a hotel room. In the end, Lohan appeared to reach for one of the kids and was struck by their mother.
She refused to comment on the incident, telling Paper Magazine that she was "too exhausted" to do so, although she was never charged.

5. Before he began humorously mocking men with weight disorders, a sex tape of Lowe with a 23-year-old woman and a 16-year-old girl was made public.
Additionally, he paid off her family, claimed not to have known her age, and afterwards referred to the incident as "the finest thing that ever happened to" him since it motivated him to give up drinking.

6. David Letterman was forced to declare on live television that he had unethical interactions with his staff after a CBS employee attempted to extort $2 million from him in 2009.
What took place in 2009? Were we really so focused on Slender Man that we missed this?

7. McCartney traveled to Japan in 1980 with his band Wings and a sizable suitcase of marijuana, receiving a 7-year prison sentence.
He was eventually released and deported after serving just nine days, during which he led the other convicts in singalongs. When asked what the hell was going through his mind, he claimed that he was unconsciously motivated to break up the band, even though there seemed to be easier options.

8. Snoop Dogg faced a homicide trial as everyone seemed to agree that he wasn't even the one holding the gun.
The LAPD completely botched the investigation, and the stoner grandfather was represented by Johnnie Cochran, who had just won the O.J. case. Because of this, the prosecution never had a chance to present their case, but everyone laughed at the joke "Murder Was the Case."

Cage’s New Orleans arrest in 2011 might have ended with him cleared, but the details about that fight over where his then-wife lived still don’t sit right.
And speaking of divorce chaos, Ben Cleveland agreed to pay his estranged spouse amid infidelity allegations.
Meanwhile, Paul Walker’s dating history, once revealed after his death, made the “23-year-old woman” headline feel way more disturbing than the average tabloid drop.
Then Lindsay Lohan goes live in 2018 in Moscow, harassing a homeless family and trying to pull the kids along, and suddenly the whole situation turns from messy to scary.
And just when you think the drama can’t get more public, David Letterman has to address unethical interactions with staff after a CBS employee attempted to extort $2 million.
