Every now and then, practically every parent has been told that their child is their clone and looks exactly like them. However, studies show that this alleged similarity is not accurate in most cases.
Researchers from the University of California at San Diego state, "Children, in general, do not look enough like their parents for a resemblance to be detected." But there are always exceptions, such as the fact that one-year-olds almost always resemble their fathers.
Nature has its own explanation for this. Naturally, women begin to develop their relationship with the baby during pregnancy.
This special bond evolves into a strong connection until the time comes to meet the baby in person. However, fathers do not have that honor, so their bond is more psychological.
Nature has decided to give them something in return, to compensate for that period and help them quickly realize it's their baby, allowing them to adapt to new circumstances as soon as possible. According to studies, in 80 percent of families, one-year-olds resemble their fathers.
Although we are aware that genetics is a miracle that works from deep roots when it comes to children and their appearances, we often limit our analysis to their parents. Whenever we see a baby, we instinctively begin to analyze whether it looks like the mother or the father, ignoring the reality that children can resemble any relative.
