They just got off their yacht, jumped into their Ferrari, and arrived at the gala wearing an ensemble that could probably feed a couple of families for a month (in some cases, this is literally true; some of them actually wore food as clothes. Yes, it is the famous r/rareinsults subreddit. Even though it is dedicated to rare insults (thus the name), celebrity roasts are a big part of it.

Of course, the "insults" have to be funny and intelligent, not just swearing and cursing. The subreddit description says:

"Did you stumble across a unique insult? Looking to spice up your vocabulary? This is the place for you! No hateful insults. Be nice!"

The subreddit, however, doesn't allow any political submissions. This includes mentions of politicians, political commentators, and political movements.

The moderators are probably afraid they would provoke people to cross the line and stop being nice to each other. It's hard to look at politicians' faces and remain civil.

The first thing you see when you open up the subreddit is its cover image—the king of hurting people's feelings, chef Gordon Ramsay, and his quote: "You guys cook like old people f**k."

One of the subreddit's moderators, Tycoinator, says that it was their CSS mod who chose to put up those words because "it's pretty f.... funny." We can't argue with that.

"Gordon Ramsay is an exemplary example of someone who is known for their unique and rare insults," Tycoinator said. "Also, he's really handsome, and we all wanted to see his face whenever we opened up the subreddit."
