14 Celebs Who Were Married More Than Once But Still Believe In True Love
They're not giving up on true love just yet.
Some celebrity love stories last longer than others, and a few take more than one marriage to get there. Even so, plenty of stars keep believing that the right person is still out there.
This list looks at famous faces who have been married multiple times, yet never fully gave up on the idea of true love. From Hollywood icons to music legends, their relationships have played out in public, with all the highs, heartbreaks, and second chances that come with it.
Here are the celebs who kept going, even after more than one trip down the aisle.
1. Lisa Marie Presley (4 marriages)
Elvis Presley's first daughter, Lisa, married Danny Keough in 1988. They had two children together.
A few years later, the couple decided to get a divorce in 1994.
AFP / East NewsA couple of weeks after her divorce from Keough, Lisa married Michael Jackson. Sadly, their marriage only lasted two years, from 1994 to 1996, and while it was Lisa who filed for divorce, she claimed that she truly loved Jackson.
Then, in 2002, Lisa married Nicolas Cage. However, Cage filed for divorce in the same year.
After that, Lisa married guitarist Michael Lockwood, and they had twins. They lasted for 10 years, but the couple also filed for divorce.

2. Pamela Anderson (6 marriages)
Anderson's husbands include famous musicians Tommy Lee and Kid Rock, Hollywood producer Jon Peters, and even her personal bodyguard, Dan Hayhurst.

Interestingly, Anderson married the same man twice. She and Rick Salomon were legally married two times, in 2007 and 2014.

3. Heidi Klum (3 marriages)
Klum's first marriage to stylist Ric Pipino lasted from 1997 to 2002. A couple of years after they separated, Klum married famous musician Seal, whom she divorced in 2014.

Today, the A-list model is married to Tokio Hotel guitarist Tom Kaulitz. Although he's 16 years younger than she is, it seems that the couple doesn't mind the age gap at all.

4. Sean Bean (5 marriages)
The first woman Bean vowed to was his school friend. However, they weren't meant to be, and they ended their relationship after seven years.

After that, Sean remarried three more times, all to actresses. This includes Melanie Hill, Abigail Cruttenden, and Georgina Sutcliffe.
Those marriages didn't last either. But in 2017, Bean accidentally met Ashley Moore, and their encounter led to marriage.

5. Kate Winslet (3 marriages)
With her first two marriages, it seemed that Kate had a taste for directors. She first tied the knot with Jim Threapleton and then with Sam Mendes.

However, in 2012, Winslet changed styles. She married British businessman Edward Smith.
Kate also has three children, one from each of her husbands.

6. Sean Penn (3 marriages)
Each of Penn's marriages was quite high-profile. First, he married Madonna, then actress Robin Wright, and finally actress Leila George.

Fame does not stop real feelings, just ask the celebrities behind these tell-alls with unvarnished honesty.
The actor then got together with Charlize Theron, but they were never engaged or married before they split. According to Theron, she had no thoughts of marrying Penn.

7. Joan Collins (5 marriages)
The first four men the actress walked down the aisle with were actors Maxwell Reed and Warren Beatty, businessman Ron Kass, and lastly singer Peter Holm.

In 2002, it seems that she found the one. The actress married producer Percy Gibson, and to this day, they are still happily together. Collins is 88 years old, while her husband is 57.

8. Tom Cruise (3 marriages)
The Mission: Impossible star has married actresses Mimi Rogers, Nicole Kidman, and Katie Holmes. Sadly, none of those marriages lasted long for the actor.

In 2012, Cruise was added to the list of eligible bachelors in Hollywood after his divorce from Holmes. To this day, he remains on that list.

9. Drew Barrymore (3 marriages)
Barrymore was only 19 when she first got married, but that didn't last long as the couple split just a few months later. Soon after, she married showman Tom Green, but they also split after a year.

After her last divorce, it took a while before Barrymore found love again. However, in 2012, the Charlie's Angels star found art consultant Will Kopelman, and they got married and had two daughters.
Sadly, they also split.

10. Liza Minnelli (4 marriages)
Unfortunately for Minnelli, none of her marriages were completely happy. They also didn't bring her the joy of motherhood.

Minnelli split from her last husband in 2003, and since then, the actress has stayed off the aisle.

11. Gary Oldman
Oldman first took actress Lesley Manville as his wife. After two years and a child together, the couple filed for divorce.
Oldman then married Uma Thurman, which is his most famous marriage, but they divorced in 1992.
He then went on to marry model Donya Fiorentino and later singer Alexandra Edenborough.
In 2017, he had a fifth attempt at marriage when he married writer Gisele Schmidt.

12. Janice Dickinson (4 marriages)
The dashing model has had her pick of men, and she got married four times.
However, it was only when she got engaged to psychotherapist Dr. Robert Gerner that she found happiness.

In 2016, the couple got married, and it seems that Dickinson's fans have fallen in love with them, always leaving notes of appreciation on whatever the couple posts.

13. Jean-Claude Van Damme (5 marriages)
Although he was married five times, the famous actor actually had only four wives. That's because he married one of them twice.
His first wife was Maria Rodriguez, with whom he stayed for four years. Then, he married Cynthia Derderian, and their relationship lasted about a year.

In 1987, Van Damme married his third wife, bodybuilder Gladys Portugues, with whom he had two children. Unfortunately, the marriage broke up because of the actor's affair with Darcy LaPier.
Later on, he married LaPier and had one son with her, but they also split.
Then, in 1999, Van Damme and Portugues rekindled their romance, got married, and are still happily together today.

14. Jennifer Lopez (3 marriages)
J Lo's first husband was waiter Ojani Noa, but their marriage lasted less than a year. After they divorced, J Lo still made him the manager of her restaurant, but it ended up in litigation.

The singer then married dancer Cris Judd, but that marriage also lasted less than a year.
J Lo's next marriage lasted longer; it was to her old friend, singer Marc Anthony. However, after 10 years together, they divorced.
Then, in 2022, J Lo revealed that she was engaged to Ben Affleck.

Getting married that many times is no joke. Aside from the costs of marriage and divorce, imagine all the emotional trauma one would have to endure to completely close that chapter of their life.
Fortunately, it seems that those challenges didn't leave these celebs on the bitter side of life. Let's hope there is still true love out there for them.
