Clever Mother Came Up With a Solution for Her Daughter Not Cleaning Her Room, and It's Brilliantly Evil

If you're the parent of a teenager, you have undoubtedly dealt with the enormous task of trying to get your child to clean their room. It's like an unwritten rule that every teenager follows; they just don't like to tidy up, ever!

Well, one mother, Alice Velasquez, recently had enough of her teenage daughter's messy room, and she came up with a creative (and slightly evil) way to get her to pick up after herself. Alice decided to put her daughter Tahlia's entire bedroom into garbage bags and sell each bag back to her for $25 each.

Of course, there was another option for Tahlia. She could earn back the bags of her belongings by, you guessed it, doing her chores.

And subsequently received a lot of criticism from strangers regarding her parenting choices.

But obviously, the real question here is, did the plan actually work?

Well, Alice says her plan worked even better than she expected! Not only did Tahlia start doing her chores, but her siblings also offered to do extra chores to help her earn her things back faster.

She may have faced some online backlash, but she also taught her daughter a valuable lesson, which was always her intention. Great job, Alice!
