Grandma Cleverly Takes Down A Scammer And Gets Him Arrested On The Spot

He messed with the wrong 73-year-old woman.

The world is full of dangers, and there is always cruelty lurking in every corner. Every person is at risk, no matter what kind of danger it may be; but sometimes, these dangers also come in the form of other people.

It's no secret that there are many thieves, scammers, and even murderers living among us, and it's definitely sad how much suffering their heinous acts cause. It's a wonder if their conscience is eating them alive or if they have any conscience at all.

They like to prey on victims they think are vulnerable, mostly women and the elderly. Sometimes, however, they underestimate how clever these individuals actually are, and they end up being outwitted by them!

It is quite easy to fall into their trap, and even young people can be victims, especially when they are too innocent to understand the devilish workings of the real world. They can be very convincing at times and could even trick you into giving them something without you even realizing that they are already fooling you!

However, when a fraudster tried to scam this particular 73-year-old woman, things took a fortunate turn (on justice's side) when he was cleverly lured into arrest by the woman. She dealt with the scammer so well that she's now a badass in our eyes!

Meet Jean, the woman that lured a scammer and had him cornered. He was arrested on the spot.

Jean is a 73-year-old woman and grandmother living in Long Island. She received a call from an obvious scammer who was trying to pretend to be her grandson.

She immediately recognized the malicious intent of the man, but instead of panicking, she cleverly played along.

The scammer apparently asked her for $8,000. He did not get any dollars, but he did get arrested for DUI.

He called her saying he had been arrested for drunk driving and that he needed the money to bail him out. Jean immediately realized that there was no way her young grandchildren could have magically acquired driving licenses and learned to drive over the weekend, so she quickly figured out that the call was a scam.

She took that to her advantage.

Jean was already preparing a clever plan to trap him.

The thief was confident that he had made the woman believe in his outstanding lying skills, as Jean unquestionably agreed to meet the bail bondsman to collect the needed money from her house.

The "bondsman" came to collect the cash, but he had no idea what was actually waiting for him.

The scammer rang the doorbell, swooped in to collect the envelope with "cash," but it was actually full of paper towels.

He was unable to escape the attack. He was then taken into custody and charged with attempted grand larceny in the third degree.

Even though Jean fortunately had clever blood running through her veins, it's still sad when you think of how many people they have already scammed before and how this continues with other fraudsters. Let's just hope they don't end up harming others, especially the elderly who just want to help.
