Call of Duty: Warzone Pros Are Mad Over A Glitch That Turned A Player Into A Plane During An Official Tournament
Call of Duty: Warzone pro gamers appeal for the postponement of future tournaments after witnessing the glitch.
Although many gamers treat the Call of Duty series as a hobby, it is considered serious business for a lot of people. It is part of the e-sports scene and has numerous talented players competing in its events.
Call of Duty: Warzone has been holding e-sports tournaments since its release in 2020, but it is not exactly free from bugs and glitches. The biggest problem is that players who discover these issues take advantage of them to win games.
Due to the problems that players have been experiencing recently, the pros of Call of Duty have been appealing for a delay of the upcoming tournaments until these glitches have been fixed.
People have experienced different Call of Duty: Warzone bugs, large and small.
But there's one glitch that particularly ruins the game. Instead of appearing in regular unranked matches, it chose to manifest during an official tournament.
The game itself couldn't determine whether one competitor was a player or a plane. The bug turned the match into a frustrating experience when pro player Buzro encountered it in the middle of a $75,000 Twitch Rivals Call of Duty: Warzone tournament.
The video has gone viral within the community. In it, Buzro is winning in the Gulag, which means that he can re-enter the game.
However, instead of getting off the plane, he became the plane itself. Buzro attempted to deploy his parachute, but to no avail.
The game breaks even further when the view repeatedly switches from his character's perspective to that of the plane. Ultimately, he crashed into the ground.
The only thing that saved Buzro's character was that the game finally crashed, which caused a delay in the tournament.
After the video clip drew players' attention, many Call of Duty: Warzone pros complained via social media, criticizing the current status of the game.
The pros demanded the postponement of the upcoming tournaments until significant bug and glitch fixes could be deployed. No matter how skilled a player is, these bugs can undermine a gamer's ability to win matches or survive.
This may be among the most significant bugs encountered by players of the game, but unfortunately, this isn't the first time they have witnessed a serious issue.
The developers constantly release patch updates. However, for some reason, every fix comes with a new set of bugs and exploits.
Just recently, players were complaining about skin exploits. These are actually bugs that make sniper rifles function like semi-automatic guns.
In other words, Warzone players can be killed before they can even begin the match. Sadly, Infinity Ward and Raven Software, the developers of the FPS, have yet to issue a statement regarding the plane glitch.
They may fix the issue in the upcoming days or weeks, but players will still encounter other bugs after those updates.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. It is free to play and is the second battle royale-style game in the Call of Duty franchise, with the first being Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's Blackout mode.
