Here’s Why This Man Says He Won't Let His Future Daughters Attend College

Brace yourself for this one.

Nick thought he had a simple answer to a big future question, and it set off a wave of backlash online. His take on college, marriage, and what daughters should do after high school landed badly with plenty of people who saw it as controlling and outdated.

In the tweet, he argued that college is not the right place for women who want to get married, saying the environment is all about drinking, bad food, and hookups. He also said that if he ever had daughters, they would live with him until marriage instead of going to college.

That was enough to spark a messy Twitter pile-on, and the replies did not hold back.

His tweet didn't go down well with many users. In no time, hundreds of comments poured in to debunk what many believe to be a grossly ignorant opinion.

People were quick to point out that college life is not nearly as simple as he made it sound.

3. An important point to consider

He probably didn’t look at it from all angles.

Who is going to tell Nick that his actions could negatively impact his future daughters, especially in their decision-making?

We’d say more to Nick about his super-controlling tweet, but it seems these Twitter users have done justice to that.

We can only hope he takes away from this experience and re-educates himself on what he should and should not do as a parent. Depriving your child of the college experience is certainly the latter part.
