Dad Installs a Lock on His 16-Year-Old Daughter’s Bedroom to Prevent Her 18-Year-Old Cousins from Violating Her Privacy, and Now His Wife and Her Brother Hate Him for It
There comes a time in your life when you find yourself saying, "enough is enough."
We should all stand by our friends and family when they are going through a rough patch, and there is no question about it. It is what separates good people from phonies.
But sometimes, the people we are helping don’t seem to appreciate our assistance. Now, we are not saying that they should go around and shout how thankful they are, nor do we expect a Nobel Prize for humanitarianism.
However, a simple acknowledgment would be in order – especially when we are sacrificing a lot to help them. One of the most important things we can sacrifice is our privacy.
We’ve all had a friend or a family member who got kicked out by their landlord or romantic partner. So, of course, offering them a place to stay until they work things out is a natural thing to do.
While most people who accept such offers tread carefully and pay great attention not to disturb their hosts, some don’t really care. They act like they own the place and view their hosts as servants who should clean up after them and make everything they own available to them.
Our OP has guests like that. Read his story; maybe it will sound familiar…

There is no denying that we should help our loved ones in difficult times, but we also have to draw a line. That’s especially true when dealing with people who don’t have a sense of boundaries.
Of course, some people don’t understand them even when they are clearly explained several times. Then, you need to go nuclear, and that’s exactly what this father did.
