Teen Girl Had to Give Control of Her Social Media to Her Parents as a Part of a Punishment, and It Resulted in Some Hilarious Posts
This dad took over his daughter's social media and posted hilarious pictures and videos.
Teenagers and social media do not always mix well, especially when parents decide a punishment should come with a lesson attached. That is exactly what happened to 15-year-old Madelynn, who got caught helping sneak boys into a sleepover and then had to face her parents' verdict.
Tawnya Ford and Larry Sumpter gave her a choice, one month without her phone, or two weeks without the phone but with full control of her social media accounts. Maddi picked the second option right away, and that decision quickly turned into a stream of posts her parents clearly enjoyed more than she did.
By the end, the punishment had become its own little family project, and the internet got to watch it unfold.

Not much time passed before this high school sophomore from Denton, Texas, began to see the consequences of her poorly calculated decision. As soon as her dad gained control of her social media, he immediately got creative on her Instagram and TikTok profiles. It was like letting a wolf guard the sheep.
Larry SumpterHe started to mimic modern teen pictures and videos. His videos of dancing around with his son-in-law in crop tops and selfies of him lying in bed and gazing into the distance began to attract an audience. Even Madelynn's classmates started to regularly check for new posts.

“After the first day, Madelynn was like, ‘I changed my mind; I choose the one month,'” Ford told TODAY. “Larry told her, ‘No. I’m too invested. I have too many ideas. We’re sticking with the two weeks.’ He’s loving it. I think he’s going to make his own TikTok account when this is over.”
The punishment did not exactly go the way Maddi expected.

“We’re always down to embarrass our kids!” the mom said.

And the posts kept getting more chaotic from there.
Maddi couldn’t wait to get her social media back, and the first thing she did after the official handover was post a picture from her early childhood on Instagram, saying: “I’m back, sweeter than ever and ready to make good choices.”
One of her followers soon responded: “Call me crazy, but your dad made cooler posts.”
