Disney World’s New Star Wars Holiday Collectible Turns Darth Vader Into ‘Darth on a Hearth’
A new Star Wars holiday toy, Darth on a Hearth, is now on sale at Walt Disney World for $29.99.
Disney’s latest holiday merchandise drop gives a familiar seasonal gimmick a Star Wars twist. After being teased last week, “Darth on a Hearth” is now available at Walt Disney World, giving fans a new Sith-mas decoration to add to the mantel.
What changed
The new item is a Darth Vader figure packaged as “Darth on a Hearth,” a clear play on the Elf on the Shelf concept. It is now on sale at Walt Disney World for $29.99.
The boxed set uses retro-style artwork showing Vader in a Santa hat and red cape, holding a glowing candy cane in place of a lightsaber. Inside, the figure comes displayed with the hat, cape, and candy cane. The clothing pieces are trimmed with white faux fur, and the figure itself includes both embroidered and plastic details.
The display setup also leans into the joke. Vader is seated on a cardboard fireplace, with stockings labeled for Luke and Leia hanging behind him. The idea is that guests can place him near their own fireplace or on a mantel with stockings at home.

This release is aimed at Disney guests and Star Wars fans looking for new Christmas merchandise, especially anyone building out a holiday display with a galaxy far, far away theme.
The box includes a short rhyme that presents Vader as a mischievous holiday visitor who watches over presents, tinsel, and the tree while sneaking candy canes for the dark side. The packaging adds more seasonal Star Wars art, including an AT-AT, TIE Fighters, Star Destroyers, and a snowman styled like a Stormtrooper.
