Disney’s New Halloween Pin Countdown Calendar Makes October a 13-Day Mystery
Disney has released a Mickey Mouse and Friends 13-day Halloween countdown calendar with limited edition mystery pins.
Disney’s Halloween merchandise lineup has a new collectible aimed squarely at pin fans. A newly released Mickey Mouse and Friends countdown calendar also works as a limited edition mystery pin set, with one surprise tucked behind each door from October 19 through October 31.
The new item arrives as Halloween decorations are already up and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is underway, giving fans another seasonal souvenir to watch for. Disney is calling it the Mickey Mouse and Friends 13-Day Halloween Countdown Calendar, and the format is built around a daily reveal leading into Halloween.
Instead of candy or paper keepsakes, each compartment holds a collectible pin. That means buyers are getting a countdown calendar and a mystery pin set in the same release. Disney has also labeled the calendar limited edition, which could make it especially appealing to collectors focused on seasonal merchandise and Halloween character art.
What Disney has shown so far
The pins shown on the packaging feature costumed characters posed against a full moon design. The box gives a preview of six pins, while seven others are still being kept secret until the compartments are opened.
The six characters already visible are Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Donald, and Daisy, all in Halloween costumes. For shoppers deciding whether to pick one up, that means the calendar’s countdown begins on October 19 and continues through October 31, with more than half of the pin lineup still unrevealed.
