Brazilian Artist Transforms Disney Ladies In Her Own Adorable Style
Relive your favorite Disney memories with these illustrations.
Disney characters have a way of staying with people long after childhood ends. For Brazilian artist Fabíola Monteiro, that lifelong affection became the inspiration for a colorful fan art project that gives familiar heroines a fresh look.
Known online as Cifaela, Monteiro launched her 50 Disney Ladies series in 2014, reimagining well-known female characters from Disney movies in her own adorable style. With a background in graphic design and a talent for children’s book illustration, she turned a simple idea into a playful collection that keeps growing in appeal.
Her versions of these classic characters are hard to ignore, and the results are as charming as they are recognizable.
1. Here’s Daisy Duck with Minnie Mouse.
So how would Donald Duck react to this sweet and younger version of Daisy Duck? Will Donald recognize her without her large eyelashes?
How about Minnie Mouse? Will Mickey wonder where her bow is?

disneyladiesfanart3. Can you tell if this is Alice?
The original Alice in Wonderland cartoon character looks older than this version. This depiction shows a prettier Alice, too.

4. This is the Fairy Godmother who made us all believe in magic.
She will always be the Fairy Godmother who can change everything when it seems that all hope is lost. With just a wave of her wand and some sparkles, she changed destinies forever.

5. The Evil Queen.
Who could ever forget this line: "Mirror, mirror, on the wall — who's the fairest of them all?"

6. Aurora, The Sleeping Beauty.
Does she look like she slept for a hundred years? Or is this before she pricked her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel?

Indeed, Cifaela's imagination is boundless, and her creativity shines through in every cartoon illustration she creates. Disney will always be a part of us; even if we perish, future generations will still love it.
New princesses are added, but even older generations are beginning to embrace the new characters. As bright as these characters are, so are our smiles when we see Cifaela’s creations.
