A LinaBell Meet and Greet Reached 620 Minutes at Shanghai Disneyland, Nearly Filling the Entire Day
Shanghai Disneyland guests reported a 620-minute LinaBell wait during Halloween, a line that almost matched the character's full daily schedule.
A single wait time at Shanghai Disneyland turned a character greeting into one of the season's biggest talking points. Guests reported a 620-minute line to meet LinaBell, a number so large it came close to covering the pink fox's entire scheduled appearance window for the day.
A character queue that rivaled the day itself
On October 17, 2026, a guest reported that LinaBell's meet-and-greet at Shanghai Disneyland had reached 620 minutes. That works out to 10 hours and 20 minutes, although the figure was not independently verified.
The greeting takes place at Friendship Point in Adventure Isle. Disney's official schedule lists LinaBell there from 8:30 a.m. to 7:15 p.m., with operating hours subject to change. Put next to that schedule, the reported wait was striking for a simple reason: it would have taken up almost the entire posted availability for the character that day.
A posted wait time also does not automatically mean every guest will personally stand in line for that full length. Character queues can close before the end of the day, and the practical experience for guests can shift depending on when they join the line and how operations are managed.

The post above captured the number that set Disney fans talking, but the extraordinary wait also says something about how character greetings work at peak times. Unlike an attraction, a meet-and-greet is limited by how many guests a character can actually see during a scheduled set of appearances. Add a highly popular character and a seasonal costume, and the line can quickly move into unusual territory.
Shanghai Disneyland also sets specific rules for these experiences. Guests are required to follow cast member instructions, and Disney says queues may close based on capacity and operational needs. Visitors are asked to keep interactions brief so that more people can meet the characters. Each guest can request no more than one autograph per character. Selfie sticks are not allowed, and physical affection must stay gentle.
Those details matter when a line balloons this far. The appeal is not just saying hello. For many guests, it is also about photos, an autograph, and seeing a version of a favorite character that may only appear for a limited Halloween run.

Why LinaBell can pull a line like this
LinaBell has become one of the standout names in the Duffy and Friends group. The pink fox made her debut at Shanghai Disneyland in September 2021 and quickly built a following despite not coming from a Disney animated film or television series.
Her character identity is part of the appeal. LinaBell is known for carrying a magnifying glass and solving mysteries, which helps give her a distinct personality within the Duffy and Friends world. Shanghai Disney Resort also devoted a full week of special festivities to LinaBell from September 23 through 29, another sign of how important the character has become at the resort.
For Halloween, she is not appearing in her usual look. This season's costume includes a red coat trimmed in fur, a purple-and-yellow striped dress, and a miniature top hat decorated with a pumpkin, a spiderweb, and a white feather. Seasonal outfits are a major draw at Disney parks, especially when they are tied to a short event window and limited appearance times.
That helps explain why not every massive Disney queue belongs to a ride. Character greetings, particularly those involving a popular figure in a special costume, can become one of the hardest reservations of time in a park day.

Halloween demand was already running high across the resort
The reported LinaBell wait arrived during Shanghai Disneyland's Halloween season, which runs from October 4 through November 1, 2026. This year's celebration is also tied to the resort's 10th anniversary, with new entertainment, more seasonal character costumes, and a broader Halloween program.
Disney expanded its Halloween Spook-tacular Days from eight in 2025 to 10 in 2026. Those dates are October 16 to 18, October 23 to 25, and October 29 through November 1. The 620-minute LinaBell line was reported on the second day of that event run.
The resort's Halloween offering includes five party zones, extra character encounters, Donald's Mischievous Treat Party in Festival Forest, and the Disney Villains Castle Celebration projection show at the Enchanted Storybook Castle. Elsewhere, Treasure Cove: Buccaneer Bash features Captain Jack Sparrow, The Villains' Club takes over Tomorrowland, and Jack Skellington and Sally appear in Fantasyland on select Spook-tacular Days.
Disney has also added more character looks for 2026. Peg-Leg Pete appears on Mickey Avenue in a Halloween costume. Mickey Mouse and his friends are dressed in steampunk-inspired outfits. Duffy and Friends have their own new costumes, inspired by a troupe of traveling performers.
Unlike Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom, Shanghai Disneyland's Halloween festivities are included with regular park admission rather than requiring a separate event ticket. That wider access can make the most in-demand offerings especially competitive.
LinaBell's 620-minute queue was extreme, but it did not arrive out of nowhere. Shanghai Disneyland has seen heavy Duffy and Friends demand before. In March 2024, guests reportedly waited as long as eight hours outside Sweetheart Confectionery to buy Duffy and CookieAnn backpacks. Some visitors allegedly fainted, others reportedly tried to rush the store, and security was called. The backpacks sold out, reservations for the merchandise queue disappeared within minutes, and some reservations were later offered for resale for 300 to 500 yuan.
After complaints, Shanghai Disneyland said it would improve operations and introduce more measures aimed at unauthorized merchandise reselling.
With two more weekends of Spook-tacular entertainment still on the calendar before Halloween ends, anyone hoping to meet LinaBell may want to keep a close eye on the official app for the latest character times.
