Pictures That Prove Disney Has Ruined Cinderella With Its Blu-Ray Version

Disney fans have been arguing over Cinderella for years, and the Blu-ray version is one of the biggest flashpoints. For some viewers, the restoration looks cleaner and brighter, but for others, it feels like too much of the original detail disappeared in the process.

That debate has only grown louder as side-by-side comparisons started making the rounds online. In this case, the complaints focus on missing lines, altered colors, and scenes that look flatter than they did before, which has left plenty of longtime fans frustrated.

Now the screenshots are doing most of the talking, and the reaction is still split. Read on.

Some Disney fans have been so disappointed in the Blu-ray version that they've taken to Twitter to share their frustration.

Where are her arms? Where is the detail in her gown?

Parts of the fairy dust in the sky are missing.

Where is his right hand touching her arm? Where is the red in his trousers?

4. The lining on his shoulder parts is the same color but darker than the parts themselves.

Here, the lining on the shoulder parts is blue instead of the brownish color it should be.

Some 'Cinderella' fans are adamant that there is a dramatic loss of detail, as well as vast changes in colors and lighting.

Other Disney fans, however, think that the changes are very minor and that people are getting upset for no reason.

5. Here, the sparkles are bright white, and the lines in the red curtains are dark red, as they should be.

Where are all the creases in the fabric of her gown? Where are the lines in her left hand?

6. Here, she has arms, her gown sparkles and shows detail, and the stairs are royally red.

This is the same kind of chaos as the parrot that destroyed an artist’s painting, and the fight over vet costs with a friend.

Left marble staircases yellow? Blue spots around her head and yellow lines on the stairs?

The fairy’s light blue blouse is missing.

8. Bright sparkles and a detailed gown. Detail on the street. A warm glow coming out of the palace.

Everything is a cold greenish hue. Blue shadows on staircases, green shadow on the carriage top piece?

9. Pumpkin lines on the carriage and copper brasses on the horses’ harnesses.

Blue and green horses? With no detail and pink tails? No driver’s jacket slip?

Where is the warm glowing light coming out of the palace?
