Disneyland’s east entrance just changed again as the last ticket booths vanish

Disneyland removed its final east side ticket booths, rerouting arriving guests as work advances on the resort’s new bridge and parking hub.

A familiar piece of Disneyland’s front gate area has now disappeared. The resort has removed the last two ticket booths on the eastern side of the Esplanade, and guests coming in from that side are already being sent along a new path.

The change affects visitors entering from the eastern security screening area between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. With the final two booths gone, the walkway to the gates now bends around construction barriers instead of following the old route.

Disneyland had already taken out four ticket booths on that side earlier this summer, leaving only two windows for same day ticket purchases. Those final two were bulldozed this week. Photos taken from the Disneyland Monorail on October 13 showed the cleared area where the structures had stood.

Guests who still want to buy park admission in person have not lost that option completely. They can use Guest Services or the two remaining ticket booths on the western side of the Esplanade.

What the cleared space is being used for

The former booth area has been folded into the nearby construction zone for the new Porto’s Bakery in Downtown Disney, with an interior wall separating the projects. Fresh concrete is visible in front of the site.

There are also early signs of another change to the arrival process. White triangular frames visible on the left side of the construction area appear to mark the start of a new security screening location on the east side of the Esplanade. That checkpoint is expected to move once construction is finished.

This demolition is part of DisneylandForward, the resort’s expansion plan. The land is being cleared for a pedestrian bridge over Harbor Boulevard that will connect to a new parking structure and transportation hub on the current Manchester cast member parking lot. Groundbreaking for that garage took place in August.

According to the announced plans, the new structure will include 6,000 parking spaces, 302 electric vehicle charging stations, a security office, a designated area for shuttles and rideshares, and direct vehicle access from Disney Way. Disney has tied that infrastructure to future growth at the resort, including two new Avengers Campus attractions at Disney California Adventure, a reworked Tomorrowland at Disneyland Park announced at D23 Expo 2026, a Coco ride on Pixar Pier, and an Avatar expansion at Disney California Adventure.
